Information Graphics

Information graphics are an important part of almost every company. They can be anything from safety graphics designed to reduce employee accidents, to a large interactive flash piece that integrates flash, audio, and imagery to provide detailed information to employees or customers.
3D Models
3D models can be used to create both still images for print media and videos for use on web sites, DVD's and more. Create a simple fly around of a new product or have an interface created that allows the user to interact and discover features through added audio or text.
Once a model is created it can be rendered in many different ways. The same model is able to be used in videos, interactive flash pieces, rendered as a still image and used in a print piece. They can also be integrated with other 2 dimension images or graphics to further enhance the delivery of information or visual effect you wish to achieve.
Digital Graphics
When only one angle is needed or perhaps more detail is required, a digital illustration created in Photoshop or Illustrator is a great alternative. The methane molecule to the right was actually created in Photoshop and not in a 3D program, as was the cross section of the eye.
Growing up with an engineer and also taking many engineering courses while in college before settling on a graphics design degree has helped direct me into the field of information graphics. I love to build things in my spare time as well as take them apart. This comes from a need to know what things look like and how they work, wich I feel makes me uniquely suited to this filed.
Audio, Video, and Flash
A great information graphic is more that just an image. We can combine imagery, video, audio, 3D models, and flash to create an exciting and engaging piece for use in your next presentation, training session, or sales piece.
