Hydro Systems 3D Animated Videos |
3D Cad models provided by Hydro Systems Inc. were incorporated with other 3D elements and then disected to show the precise operation of each piece of equipment. A heavy use of fluid effects make these animations both interesting and challenging. |

3D Modeling for Oil and Gas |
This article is an assortment of some of the different 3D models I have created for clients in the oil and gas industry. I am not able to show all of my projects, as some of them have been for internal use or for use in a court case. These 3D models have been used in posters, web sites, animations, interactive flash projects, and computer based training. Click here to view the horizontal drilling animation. |

3D Modeled Bit Mud Motor |
This little animation was just a piece of a much larger project. It was created entirely in 3D using regular polygon type modeling as well as the six separate particle systems seen spraying from the nozzle in the drill bit. This piece was later composited with Photoshop layers using After Effects to create a finished drilling animation (not seen here). This is another example of a project completed entirely off-site, through email and phone. |

Solar Car Animation |
These 3D model animations started with just an idea that I then sketched up on paper to make sure I was headed in the right direction. Once the sketches were approved, I translated the designs into 3D and then animated them. These animations were used in conjunction with some drawings to both secure patents and help communicate the ideas to potential investors. |

The 3D Desk |
This is a desk I am currently in the process of designing. I am trying to create something to hold all of my computer equipment. Standard desks just aren't designed to handle 4 screens, an over sized computer tower, and a drawing tablet. I have created the model and room to scale to test various designs and also be able to get a sense of space that it is hard to get just doing sketches. One decision this will help me make, is whether or not to tear out the closet door frame for that extra foot of space. |
